the family took a weekend vacation to the jersey shore. long beach island. i've never been. i haven't had much time to myself but they are starting to fall asleep in the room next door while me and my brother drink beers and watch tv. i drink more than him. i've been dieing to tug a cigarette for the past few hours. i bought a book of short stories by raymond carver yesterday. milan will have to wait some more. i walked to the shore earlier. i was by myself because it was windy and my brother hadn't even gotten in yet. the sky was gray and the only two people in the ocean were a father and daughter. it was frigid and they sat on the shore, waves slapping their stomaches.
we ate at some bar. my mom heard about the boy who slept with his teacher. my brother and i denied it.
